BJUKBM/COL/261108/01 -- This group of Dublin based group of nursing homes is seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for the Quality of Care and operational effectiveness of all nursing homes within the group. The post holder will be responsible for clinical standards, employee relations, resident and relative relations, occupancy and start-up of new homes. The Operations Manager will also provide guidance, coaching and development to each home manager and their staff. The ideal candidate would come from a nursing background and have some management qualifications/experience but most importantly will have worked within Care of the Elderly in the last 3 years.
Responsibilities:
To ensure the delivery, in each home, of the highest standards of nursing and social care which meet the individual needs of each resident.
Establishing a budget and ensuring it is achieved for each home.
Ensuring that administrative procedures are followed.
Knowledge of residents fee income, funding source, fee arrears, personal allowance, financial records
Have an understanding of legislative requirements regarding the financial affairs of mentally impaired people.
Support the manager of each home and identify key organisational gaps.
Conducting regular communication meetings with staff.
Work with managers to develop their skills in leadership, people management, finance, marketing and quality of care.
Establish a good rapport with the external community; Doctors, Pharmacists and local community groups.
Liaise with Marketing to ensure the Homes have high profile in their local communities and in the region.
Monitor all complaints ensuring that each is documented to include the investigation and outcome.
Implement Company Health and Safety Policy to safeguard the safety and welfare of staff, residents and others.
Participate in the selection and interviewing of Managers and other key staff members.
Ensure HR practices within the Homes comply with all current employment legislation.
Work with HR and the Home Manger, ensure that staff are available to achieve rostered levels.
Requirements:
Experience in management within the Healthcare industry.
Professional Healthcare Qualification (ideally Nursing).
Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience within Care of the Elderly.
