Responsibilities:
• To ensure the delivery, in each home, of the highest standards of nursing and social care which meet the individual needs of each resident through implementation of care system
• Implementation of the Named Nurse concept and staffing rosters
• Monitoring of an individualised plan of care for each resident
• Reviewing both internal and external audits and following up on results of same
• Initial induction of staff and ongoing training and development of staff
• Encouragement of innovative practice
• Ensuring implementation and adherence to procedures and guidelines
• Support the manager of each home and identify key organisational gaps
• Conducting regular communication meetings with staff
• Work with managers to develop their skills in leadership, people management, finance, marketing and quality of care
• Establish a good rapport with the external community, HSE, Doctors, Pharmacists and local community groups
• Liaise with Marketing to ensure the Homes have high profile in their local communities and in the region
• Monitor all complaints ensuring that each is documented to include the investigation and outcome
• Establishing a budget and ensuring it is achieved for each home
• Ensuring that administrative procedures are followed
• Knowledge of residents fee income, funding source, fee arrears, personal allowance, financial records
• Have an understanding of legislative requirements regarding the financial affairs of mentally impaired people
Requirements:
• Over 5 years experience in management positions in the Healthcare industry
• Extensive experience in healthcare with demonstrated leadership skills
• Qualified healthcare professional
• Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
• Sound decision making ability and results driven
• Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative
