BJUKBM/COL/051108/01 -- A Private Nursing Home based in Dublin is looking for an experienced Nurse to lead the organisation as it expands and develops in the future. This organisation provides independent and assisted living as well as nursing home care. The role of the successful candidate will be to ensure that the highest standards of nursing care are delivered to residents and to create an environment where resident’s quality of life is the key focus of the staff. The post holder will be responsible for supervising and training of the multidiciplinary team to provide Best Patient Care and will be expected to lead by example. Responsibilities:

• Ensure all policies, procedures and guidelines are implemented and in practice at all levels of staff.
• Provide strategic and clinical leadership and direction for nursing and related services which results in the delivery of effective, efficient, quality assured and patient centred nursing care.
• Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulations.
• Identify training needs for all levels of nursing & care staff.
• Create and implement a delivery plan to meet these needs within the budget allocated.
• Create and implement an assessment process that measures the effectiveness of all training for the individual and the organisation.
• Establish a good rapport with external community agencies bringing the local community into the home and facilitating residents to attend functions/activities within the local community.
• Monitor all complaints in conjunction with the home manager thus ensuring that each is documented to include the investigation and outcome.


Requirements:
• You will be a Registered Nurse with ABA Pin.
• Ideally have a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience with at least 3 years caring for the elderly.
• A Management course or other relevant post registration course is desirable.
Have proven clinical and professional managerial ability, leadership and organisational skills.
• Have the ability to efficiently and effectively manage human resources.
