Our client’s Intellectual Property practice in Europe and Asia is concerned with all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, copyright, designs and related rights, trade marks and passing-off.
They have a long and successful history in all forms of intellectual property litigation, coupled with a strong non-contentious practice. Our client continues to be involved in many of the largest patent and other intellectual property actions. They provide advice on agreements that deal either exclusively with intellectual property rights or intellectual property rights in the wider context of larger commercial transactions. They also offer tailored, strategic advice on the impact of such rights on the businesses of their clients.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an associate with experience of co-coordinating multi jurisdictional patent litigation in Europe to join their growing team.
The role will initially be based in London, and after approximately 6 months will involve a posting to Tokyo of at least 2 years, to co-ordinate, develop and enhance their thriving Japanese practice.
• Candidates will have gained in the region of 5 years post- qualification experience within the litigation practice of a top tier/Magic Circle firm.
• Academic excellence is essential and we would always expect a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and solicitors' examinations passed first time. All applications should include full academic details including grades, subjects and transcripts where appropriate.
• Candidates will have gained relevant experience in patent litigation
• Training and experience at City law firm with a specialist IP practice (or equivalent overseas firm) is essential.
