The Hutong School organizes internships in combination with Chinese classes for students, graduates and young professionals who want to gain working and living experience in China. We will organize an internship at a local or international company in Beijing, provide accommodation and teach you Chinese.

For our client we are currently looking for an intern for the following position:
PHP Programmer
Starting date: December 2008
Length: 3 - 12 months
Location: Beijing
Internship description:
- The applicant needs to be able to independently develop features on a website using PHP, MySql and web technologies.
- Functional Design and Coding of features
- Documentation
- Testing
Requirements:
2 years of web development experience, including Server Side Scripting (ASP, PHP, JAVA) and Database applications. Knowledge of CSS and Javascript (jQuery and AJAX) is a plus. Design background is a plus.

Remarks:
Regarding work hours they are very flexible so it fits the students Chinese studies. It is even an option to work in weekends. It is a plus if the student has a laptop but it is not a requirement. Dress code. Formal clothes are not required but no jogging clothes or t-shirt. Nice and clean clothes.
